After eating, drinking and merrymaking on this Christmas day, I am going to stick to the facts on this one. Translation: not much editorializing by yours truly.
The geomagnetic field looks to be getting better:
The Kyoto DST, though still in negative territory, has stabilized quite a bit:
The Australian DST sees a big boost into positive territory:
Eric, NO3M / WG2XJM, captured the Heising modulation audio as part of the Fessenden Christmas broadcast put on by Brian, WA1ZMS / WG2XFQ, and posted a report with audio on his website.
WSPR activity was down during the evening, but hey – it was Christmas eve. When I checked the WSPRnet activity page around 0200z, there were 66 MF WSPR stations reported.
Regional and continental breakdowns follow:
There were no trans-Atlantic or trans-African reports through this session. Ed, VP9GE, was present but had no reports in the database through this session:
Eden, ZF1EJ, and Roger, ZF1RC, were faithfully present and providing reports for stations through this session:
Laurence, KL7L / WE2XPQ, had a very nice session, with a report from JA1NQI-1:
Merv, K9FD/KH6 / WH2XCR, had an equally impressive session, with reports from JA1NQI-1 and John, VK2XGJ:
In Australia, Phil, VK3ELV, had a banner session, receiving the JA report trifecta from JA8SCD-5, JA1NQI-1, and JH3XCU:
OK that’s enough for today. Everyone have a safe and Merry Christmas night.
