This session yielded pretty good reports, most of which were at JT9 levels, with a few excursions into CW levels. John, WA3ETD / WG2XKA, in Vermont reports a one-way path to the Pacific Northwest and improved S/N reports over the previous session. The geomagnetic field was quiet through the session although solar wind was generally in excess of 500 km/s.
The Kyoto DST has mostly recovered and was stable through the session.
The Australian DST was mostly positive.
WSPR activity was down through the session but it was Christmas night so this is not surprising. The regional and continental breakdowns follow:
There were no trans-Atlantic or trans-African reports through the session. Michel, FR5ZX, and Ed, VP9GE, were present but did not have reports through the session.
Eden, ZF1EJ, had reports as far away as Arizona and Vermont:
Laurence, KL7L / WE2XPQ, had a nice night with more reports from JA1NQI and strong reports from the west coast of North America:
In the Pacific, Merv, K9FD/KH6 / WH2XCR, was not present due to PC problems. Merv indicates that the problem has been resolved and he should be back tonight.
In Australia, Phil, VK3ELV, had a nice session with reports from TNUKJPM and JH3XCU.
Many of us in the central US will likely be QRT tonight due to impending severe weather.
