Andy, KU4XR, posted the following on the 600-meter research group email reflector:

“Hi all: Having to do some PC maintenance and just listening by ear in the process… I caught WG2XIQ calling CQ and almost blowing the speaker out of the box !! Not being able to record in mu usual manner at that time; I grabbed my cellphone, and turned on the voice recorder, … laid it in front of the speaker, and recorded this file … It is raw audio, straight from the speaker, with ” XIQ ” in a fade at the time…”

and without further adieu, here is the audio:

While calling, I was a bit distressed and distracted because of some new noises I was hearing, presumably from somewhere in the neighborhood.  Thankfully I didn’t do something silly like mess up my call sign!

Keep the audio and the QSO’s coming!
